Tom Zaller brings his deep knowledge of exhibition design and production to his position as Vice President in charge of Exhibitions for Premier Exhibitions, Inc., a position he accepted in July 2003. Throughout his two decades in production, Tom has managed several national and international projects, including the wildly successful international and U.S. tours for world-renowned magician, David Copperfield.
As Vice President for Production at Clearchannel International Exhibitions, Tom collaborated on the development, design, and production of many of Clearchannel's exhibitions including Treasures of the Vatican, currently on tour in the U.S.
Tom's relationship with Premier Exhibitions began in 1997 when, working for Clearchannel Exhibitions, he became production manager for Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. Tom's careful handling of Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition has made it the world's most popular exhibition, engaging more than 18 million visitors worldwide.
"We designed the Titanic Artifact Exhibition to honor the Ship's incredible story, and most particularly the story of her passengers and crew. Titanic's story never fails to touch the deepest emotions, which are visible on guests' faces as they experience the exhibition. Our goal is to keep the memory of Titanic alive, as well as the memory of all the brave men and women who sailed on her maiden voyage."
To better comprehend Titanic and her majesty, Tom has taken part in expeditions to the wreck site. In July and August of 2000, Tom Spent 3 weeks at sea aboard the Russian research vessel, Academic Keldysch. It is from there that he participated in a 12 hour dive to the bottom of the ocean reaching depths of 12,500 feet where Titanic lies today.
"It was an incredible journey…one that I will never forget. I felt humbled, awed and inspired at the vision of Titanic through the tiny 6" porthole in front of me. I know that I am extremely fortunate to be one of only 150 people to have ever seen Titanic as she rests on the seabed. Our goal is to pass on what we have seen and learned about this magnificent ship, her passengers, and her crew to each guest who experiences our exhibits. It's a challenge I look forward to meeting every day!"
As Vice President, Tom oversees the Company's exhibitions worldwide and was responsible for launching the highly successful BODIES exhibitions. Both BODIES…The Exhibition and Bodies Revealed feature specially preserved dissected full human bodies and partial body specimens teaching visitors about human anatomy, physiology, and healthy life choices. He currently resides in Atlanta, GA, with his wife Lara, and sons Luke and Leo.
